01The challenge
The problem wasn't just the interface. It was the system behind it.
The existing portals were complex, layered over time and organised around logic that didn't always reflect operators' daily needs. There was a lot of information, and flows had to handle many different operational cases.
My first step was to analyse the portals and talk with operators, to understand how the system really worked and where people struggled.
02From understanding to decisions
I didn't redesign screens before understanding how the work happened.
After analysing the portals and gathering operators' needs, I mapped flows and cases and shared them with the client and developers before moving to UI.
Involving developers this early meant technical constraints became part of the design process, not a late surprise.

Prioritise
Make the important information more visible.
Structure
Organise flows and cases around operators' activities.
Simplify
Reduce the complexity of the experience without losing necessary functionality.
03The solution
From technical logic to a clearer user experience.

04Outcome
Making everyday work simpler.
- Experiences more focused on operators' needs
- Information and flows organised more clearly
- More conscious collaboration between design, client and development
- Attention to accessibility and users' autonomy
To verify — keep only outcomes actually observed or documented.
The value of redesigning a complex system lies not only in how it looks, but in how much easier it becomes to use.
